SASO organizes The fifth Standards forum 2021 "SHARED VISION FOR A BETTER WORLD"

Inviting NSBs around the globe (ISO, NIST, BIS, UL) and SASO'S stakeholders to discuss the role of standards in promoting sustainable development, supporting small and medium enterprises, Circular Economy, promoting innovation in industry for more sustainable products.

Furthermore, the application of standards in the fourth industrial revolution 4.0, and Standards as an enabler for smart cities applications and promotion of sustainability.

Setting global goals

We are currently live in a changing world, so it requires preparing ourselves to overcome challenges in the future. Setting global goals is a mandatory to reach sustainability in all aspects of life. As we may know, 17 Sustainable development goals were identified by the United Nations for a strategic plan.

Standards play an important role for empowering sectors that work to achieve these goals. Local and international speakers will be invited to discuss the role of standards in promoting sustainable development, with a focus on industry-related goals and Innovation (SDG.9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure).

In addition, the role of standards in developing Fourth Industrial City as well as discussing the concept of smart cities and how to develop standards (SDG.11: Sustainable Cities and Communities).
