Protection is indispensable in electrical system design
Protection of people, livestock, buildings, and equipment, especially modern IT and medical equipment against hazards are indispensable in electrical system design.
The guidance given by BS 6651: Code of Practice for Protection of Structure against Lightning practiced in Malaysia may underestimate the threat and the protection against lightning hazards.
The new IEC 62305 (MS IEC 62305) international standards series, which replaces BS 6651 addresses the shortcomings of BS 6651.ion (IEC) requirements in applications where the type of earthing have an impact on small and large electrical installations.
